If your child has a high temperature, a new continuous cough or a loss of taste or smell then the COVID-19 guidelines for schools state that your child must stay at home and not come to school.
If this is the case, it is important that you visit the government website to book a PCR test as soon as possible. Please follow this link: https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
You should not use this service if you’ve received a positive PCR test result in the last 90 days, unless you:. get any new COVID-19 symptoms; have been in contact with someone who is suspected ...
If the test result is positive then the governments Track and Trace will contact you to let you know how long your child must isolate, however if the test result is negative then they may return to school safely.
At Netley Abbey Infant school we make every effort to support our families through this difficult time and provide our children with education that is parallel to that which they are missing at school and of course is appropriate to their needs.
Please see our Remote Education Policy for further details.
Whilst awaiting your results from your PCR tests there are a host of websites you could access to supplement your child’s learning:

In the event of a positive test please contact the school office so that we can adequately provide your child with targeted learning. If they are too ill to learn at home it is important you inform us.
There will be a weekly menu of learning shared with you via Tapestry (Year R) or SeeSaw (Year 1 and 2). Please log into Tapestry or Seesaw to view this and upload any learning as it is completed for your child's class teacher to view.
